Life lie Hitler Youth. From the diary of a BDM girl
The life history is from the early childhood 1933 till the adult age in the post-war period. The time of the National Socialism and the time in the BDM (Hitler Youth) take a very small portion of the representation. When you call you book “Life lie Hitler Youth” you accept more. The title suggested that the time would be with the BDM the main topic. Instead you read how was her life before and after war. The positive attitude to the BDM, to Hitler and to war is obviously. Reflections of the authoress are however very generally and superficially held. Till the end of war she doesn’t realised what Hitler done with German people and the world. Just 40 years after war she recognised that she and their generation was used by national socialism. She was so affected by National Socialism propaganda and so much occupied to survived, that she couldn't think critical about her life.
Result:
This book informs you about the post-war time, how difficult to struggle through and to survive after war. But it isn’t a good book to read about National Socialism and how people thought concerning it.
